There is nothing more English than Afternoon Tea, whilst staying in the Aloft Hotel Liverpool recently I was invited to try the Afternoon Tea with cocktails. Afternoon Tea is such a fabulous way to spend time with family and friends.
The Aloft Hotel Liverpool have just launched the Spring Menu, and as Liverpool is hosting Clothes Show Live 2017 fashion festival 7-9 July a coup for the City as its been hosted in Birmingham since its inception 27 years ago; what could be more fitting than a fashion Afternoon Tea!
I had a cocktail with my Afternoon Tea, starting with a Strawberry Bellini and my husband had a French Martini. I had dinner previously at Aloft Hotel last year which you can read about here NYL Restaurant and Cocktail Bar at Aloft Hotel Liverpool
With layers of seasonally changing breads and fillings, mini macaroons, brownies, cakes and scones with clotted cream and jam it really was a sight to behold. All of the produce is made fresh each day and it showed as it tasted devine! All served with copious amounts of Suki Tea and coffee if desired. It really was a delicious treat, which needs to be booked to guarantee availability especially at the weekend. The service was so good, the staff couldn’t have done enough for all the Afternoon Tea customers as there where a fair few having the Fashion Afternoon Tea.
The Aloft Hotel is a beautiful Grade 11 listed building (former Royal Insurance), with huge high ceilings and many of the old features such as stained glass windows and parquet floors which make having Afternoon Tea such a special treat. The Gold Dome can be seen across the City of Liverpool. Right in the city centre beside Liverpool One outdoor shopping complex, one of the Britain’s top shopping destinations you couldn’t choose a more convenient bolt holes for a City Break.
Fashion Afternoon Tea £17:50 per person (add presecco £20:00, add cocktails £22:00)
call: 0151 294 4069 to book.
*The Aloft kindly provided Afternoon Tea gratis, I always give honest reviews.
Oh I love afternoon tea, and this looks like a lovely one! And the cocktails look so good, especially the French Martini! If I’m ever in Liverpool I’ll definitely have to check out The Aloft hotel.
