Spotlight On Foundation…. Nars Sheer Glow Foundation.

Summertime and the living should be easy, and that of course includes your makeup. As a blogger I’m well aware that Nars Sheer Glow has received cult status and one of my favourites Nicola Haste of Pixiwoo fame, is always using Nars Sheer Glow and it looks fabulous on Nicola’s skin and on camera. Whilst I was over in the UK for a hospital appointment I popped into Harvey Nichols and the consultant matched me up to deauville: incidentally i had looked online and matched myself to Deauville so if you want to buy online you could google swatches without travelling to Belfast or Dublin. The UK have more Nars counters so easier in the UK.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation ‘Deauville’

I applied 1 Pump of Nars Sheer Glow with my fingers as suggested by the consultant, but I then went in with my Real Techniques Beauty Blender. I like to bounce the foundation over my skin with the beauty blender so it becomes seamless, my foundation and skin then look flawless. I then look at my skin and apply another half pump to my cheeks and any areas that need extra cover. I will say this foundation is quite economical as I’ve had to use quite a bit of other types of foundation to achieve the same look. Nars Sheer Glow would be a medium coverage foundation with a dewy finish.

Nars Sheer Glow ‘Deauville’ unblended it’s a light neutral shade.

What Nars say: A glowing radiant finish foundation with sheer and buildable coverage that evens out skin tone. Replete with skincare benefits and Nars complexion brightening formula, it leaves skin hydrated, more luminous, softer and smoother. Contains antioxidants and turmeric and is fragrance free.

Nars Sheer Glow, the foundation pump is extra!

Nars are a bit on the cheeky side asking the customer to buy a pump at £3, but I do like the hygiene aspect and won’t have to repurchase. Nars Sheer Glow didn’t sit in any of my fine lines so perfect for older skin, and whilst it’s a medium coverage i was able to build that up too full on my cheeks. Nars Sheer Glow will be suitable for Normal, Combination, Dry skin if your very oily I don’t think this is for you. I really love this foundation for Summer as it leaves the skin with a glow but goes on semi matte its genius in its formulation and I can see why its achieved cult status. Available in 18 shades you will find a shade if your very fair though to deep and dark lovelies.

Nars Sheer Glow ‘Deauville’ very long wearing in the heat.

The coverage is looking fabulous! I haven’t tried any products from NARS before but I will certainly consider doing so in the future! The foundation I’m using right now is from No.7.

I’ve never heard of this foundation before but it sounds great that it doesn’t sit in lines in the face, I’ll need to have a look into this.
