Having just spent 5 nights at Aloft Hotel Liverpool I had to give NYL Restaurant an admirable mention. I visited the restaurant  twice which I don’t often do as I like to check out new restaurants on a City break.  The Aloft Liverpool has cleverly used the Architecture of the Royal Insurance and modernity of The Aloft Hotels and married the two perfectly.

The NYL Restaurant was extremely busy on thursday but the staff had me seated and a drink in hand fairly quickly. I opted for the Club 2wenty , 2 courses from the daily menu and a bottle of wine each for £20 per person.

The starter of Chicken liver and homemade bread chilli and watercress was delicious.

The mains of Linguini with crab and prawn and Vegetable burger with tripled cooked chips went down a treat. The bar tender chose a lovely Rosè to accompany dinner.

As I sat back and observed, chatting with the staff there’s an intimate feel despite the grand high ceilings they’ve created a great atmosphere.

Despite the NYL restaurant being pretty full, the staff where very obliging and everyone was chatting as the evening sun shon through the sash windows.

To finish off a great evening I had a Starbucks latte, as aloft Liverpool have a Starbucks Concession which finished off the evening perfectly for me as I’m a bit of a Starbucks addict.
