Here at Lurganista HQ I love trying all types of makeup, this week after asking you fabilis dolly’s what you wanted to see I’ve put together a face full of Drugstore Makeup. Some are just released and some are cult favourites but all available now woohoo!! I know the mums will be on budgets after buying school uniforms and supplies; and students will be budgeting for school and university but of course want to look ah-may-zing on the school run, and in lectures.
Foundation L’oreal Nude Magique Cushion
Ive tried a few of these cushion foundations including Mally Beauty.Theyre a Korean concept and this one is made in Korea. I really liked this one, I used a kabuki style brush instead of the sponge that comes with it. Coverage is light to medium which can be built up.
- Cushion Technology drenched in foundation
- Glowing fresh finish
- light coverage buidable
- 7 Luminous shades
- SPF 29
I set mine with Loose Powder and the only negative is you don’t get a lot of product so lookout for Loreal offers.

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer has been used by everyone from celebs bloggers to mums on the school run. Its a concealer with brightening properties. It claims to have antiageing properties over time, hmmm. Truthfully i like but don’t love this, and will go back to my Clarins Instant concealer and Lancome Miracle Corrector. It didn’t stay well on my skin or last.

Next up is another cult brand Collection. I really love Collection Sheer Loose Powder This little pot of wonder sets my makeup and doesn’t sit in fine lines even under my eyes! I have even baked (where you use tons of powder, let it sit then brush off excess)
Finally I conclude with my favourite ritual highlighting. I’ve tried the New Maybelline Strobing Stick 200 which is a golden shade. Now I know it’s called strobing but I don’t really know the difference in Highlighting and strobing but know I love it. You use it on the high points of your face….
Maybelline master strobing stick 200
- Cheekbones (avoiding eyes)
- Centre of the forehead
- Cupid’s bow of your lip
- Up the centre of your tanned legs
- Décolletage
- Top of arm
There are 2 colours, 100 is more white and pinky, suitable for the beautiful porcelain dollys and for winter.
The texture whist starting of cream, turns to a velvet semi powder on the skin, and I will be buying more once this one is finished. I love it! Gives my high end highlighters a run for they’re money!
I couldn’t end without showing you the drugstore products on my skin, with the exception of lipstick (Estée Lauder) and Benefit Hoola to contour.
