Kylie Cosmetics KoKo K Worth the hype?

Unless you’ve been living under a stone I’m guessing you dollys’ have all seen Kylie Jenner launch Kylie Cosmetics. It started with the Matt Lip kits that sold out in seconds! Now there are eye shadows, gel eyeliner and limited edition lip kits and lip gloss.

I tried at the beginning to get my hands on a lip kit, but they sold out so quickly. As you get older it’s difficult to wear Matt lipsticks and especially difficult to wear very dark vampy colours (now that’s just my personal  opinion if you love these colours go for it!)

So I waited until the mass asteria had calmed a little, and googled like bananas to find a colour I would like and would suit all ages from 16-60. I decided on Kylie Cosmetics KoKo K a nude pink.

I opted for the KoKo K liquid lipstick alone, as I love Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk lip liner so didn’t need a lip liner. It also reduced the price, since Brexit sterling makes buying anything in dollars more expensive and they charge $10 for delivery; luckily I didn’t get hit with any tax charges. It took a week to get to me from USA to N Ireland.

I’ve bought drugstore Matt lipsticks in the past and it was a huge fail. They bleed and went bitty on my lips. I take good care of my skin and my lips by regularly using carmex and exfoliating with a toothbrush. Kylie KoKo K has completely changed my view on Matt lipsticks.

You can see by this picture I’m totally delighted with Kylie KoKo K, I’m a real nude pink lover and it went on smoothly and dried in 10 seconds. There was a smell of Candy Floss (cotton candy) which I actually liked! I have Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk on with it, but you could use it straight out of the tube without a lip liner or treat yourself to the lip kit as I’ve heard nothing but good reports about the lip liner. Kylie Matt liquid lipsticks do live up to expectations and the hype, the young Kardashian/Jenner has got the ingredients and consistency to work and I’m older and not the 16 year old target market.

I’ve worn this for 2 weeks and got nothing but compliments from strangers, friends, and on Snapchat! Kylie has managed to put emollients into this Matt liquid lipstick which works really well. Kylie Cosmetics says….. The Liquid Matte Lipstick has high intensity pigment for an instant bold matte lip. The extremely long wearing lipstick contains moisturizing ingredients for a comfortable, emollient and silky feel that does not dry your lips out.another shot of KoKo K & I 💋

I really like this lipstick, I do think you will need to moisturise with plenty of carmex, and when winter hits you may to add a little gloss on top to stop your lips drying out; but it’s a massive hit for me!

Kylie Cosmetics Packaging, including a note from Kylie which despite being photocopied still is a lovely personal touch.

Do believe the hype, but prepare your lips as liquid lipstick is difficult to wear with even the most moisturised lips. Whip out the carmex ladies!

DO NOT BUY A LIP KIT ON EBAY OR ANY OTHER SITE I’ve seen some girls have blistering  and other ill effects. You can only buy direct from Kylie Cosmetics presently.

❤ that. I was skeptical trying this as a Nurse who was dressing and packing my wound (having had emergency surgery recently that the Surgeon’s wanted it dressing and packing twice weekly for ages), she told me that she tried Kylie lip and didn’t like it herself. However, i do think it’s a try yourself thing these days as what may work for you, may not work for another person and vice versa. I DO love Charlotte Tilbury though and I have quite a lot of her products, palettes and all. I bought her £49 face palette that was out months ago on limited edition that you now cannot get anywhere (that I wish that I had bought two of at the time) and I am v impressed with it. Soo glad that i bought it.
